Terms of Use
Effective from: 14 October 2026 · Adam Štencl
By using the LifePocket app, you agree to these terms. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
1. What LifePocket is
LifePocket is a web app (PWA) for everyday life: habits, goals, calendar, journal entries, checklists, shopping, recipes, meal plans, food and health logs, sharing in groups and an AI companion. It is run by Adam Štencl as a personal project.
2. Free, with voluntary support
- The app is free and has no ads.
- You can voluntarily support the project with a bank transfer via a Czech bank QR payment (when it is shown in the app) or through BTC Lightning. A contribution is a donation: it does not give you any extra features or any entitlement to services. The app does not process payments; your bank or wallet carries out the payment.
3. Who can use the app
- The app is intended for people aged 15 and over (the age that applies in the Czech Republic). In other countries, local law may set a different minimum age for consent. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Your account
- You can sign in with a Google account or with email and password.
- You are responsible for the security of your account and password. If you discover unauthorised access, write to adam.stencl@gmail.com.
5. Rules of use
You agree that you will not:
- misuse the AI features to create harmful, illegal or misleading content
- try to break or bypass the app’s security, the daily AI request limit or access to other people’s data and groups
- guess or try out other people’s group codes
- put automated load on the app (bots, scraping)
- store or share illegal content
- use a nickname in the Challenge of the month and week that is offensive or vulgar, impersonates someone else or the app administrator, or contains other people’s personal data, or check off days on which you did not complete the challenge
The app administrator may remove an inappropriate nickname or participant from a public challenge and prevent them from joining that challenge again.
6. Content and sharing in groups
- Content you enter (journal entries, recipes, lists, photos…) remains yours. We only provide storage and tools.
- Whatever you share in a group (shopping, events, meal plan, pantry, shared checklists including photos) can be seen and changed by all its members. You are responsible for the content you add to a group.
- Give the group code and invitation link only to people you trust. Anyone who knows the code can join the group.
- Content you added to a group stays there even after you leave.
- If you enter information about other people (e.g. names and birthdays), only do so to the extent that is fine for you and for them.
7. AI companion and AI features
- The AI features use the Claude API from Anthropic. Responses are generated automatically by a computer.
- AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. They are not professional advice, in particular not medical, nutritional, psychological, legal or financial advice. Calorie and nutrient estimates are approximate. For health matters, consult a professional.
- We are not responsible for the content of AI responses. Treat them as inspiration and check them yourself.
- You can report an inappropriate, untrue or offensive AI response with the “⚑ Report” button directly in the chat.
- Each account has a limit of 50 AI requests per day. All AI calls count towards the limit, including the automatic analysis of journal entries.
8. Service availability
LifePocket is a personal project run free of charge. We try to keep it available as much as possible, but we do not guarantee this. We reserve the right to:
- temporarily limit or interrupt operation for technical reasons
- change, add or remove app features
- shut down the service, with notice in the app at least 30 days in advance
9. No warranty and limitation of liability
We provide LifePocket as is, without any warranty. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- loss of data caused by a technical fault
- damage arising from using or being unable to use the app
- undelivered or delayed notifications and reminders
- AI-generated content
- content added to groups by other users
So please back up important data elsewhere as well.
10. Ending your account
- You can stop using the app at any time. You can delete your account directly in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account): your data is deleted immediately and permanently and you leave all groups. Details, including what remains in shared groups, can be found in the Privacy Policy.
- Before deleting, you can download your data in the app (Settings → Account → Download my data).
- You can also ask for your account to be deleted by email at adam.stencl@gmail.com; we will then delete the data within 30 days.
- If someone seriously breaches these terms, we may restrict their access to the app or close their account.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will inform you of significant changes in the app (the What’s new section). By continuing to use the app after changes are announced, you agree to the new version.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Disputes are resolved by the courts of the Czech Republic.
